Love the unexpected!
Why do people like adventure, suspense movies, and haunted houses? It's a fact, people love the unexpected!
It makes life fun and interesting! It keeps you guessing and it quite frankly, prevents me from being bored!
I could plant flowers and herbs in traditional clay pots, but then how exciting would that be?
The "Hens and Chickens" pictured here are nesting in an old copper gelatin mold. We all had them at one time in or life...thrift stores have plenty of them!
The pan makes a great wreath, but the truly unexpected delight is the hole in the middle! It allows my outdoor umbrella to slip right through the middle of the arrangement! The centerpiece is easy to maintain and I never have to refill a vase before a luncheon.
* Just remember to drill a few drainage holes in your pan before you plant your wreath with flowers or plants.
* Old Bundt pans work just as well and because of their deeper base are even better if you want to plant flowers such as petunias or pansys.
* Old watering cans, metal mop buckets and old cooking pots are another unexpected treat!
* An old hat can be the perfect lamp shade!
* A coke carton makes the perfect cooking organizer. Mine sits right beside my stove and is filled with, spices, salt, pepper,dry ingrediants, olive oil, etc...
